The Beijing Health Commission said on Friday that the city had registered 25 new cases of the virus in the past 24 hours.
These new cases were reported in four
Beijing neighborhoods: 18 in Fengtai, 5 in Daxing and 2 in Xicheng and
Haidaian. The infected were all involved in the Xinfadi mall, which is
suspected to be the site of a new virus outbreak. As of June 11, there have
been a total of 183 people involved in the market. China has recorded a total
of 603 domestic cases, with nine deaths since the outbreak began in January.
