Covid-19 update: 1238 dead per day! Brazil remains a hotbed of more than 20,000 new cases

The ministry of health said on this Thursday that Brazil found more than 1,000 daily deaths from Covid-19 for just 3 days in a row.


The ministry said the country has reported an additional 1,238 deaths and 22,765 new cases in the last 24 hours. That brings the total to 47,748 deaths and to 978,142 infections nationwide, with a 4.9 percent mortality rate. The most populous state of South Paulo was hit with 192,628 infections and 11,846 deaths. It was followed by Rio de Janeiro, with 87,317 infections and 8,412 deaths. So far, 482,102 people have been cured nationwide.
